One of India’s top telecom operator Idea Cellular has reduced the data tariff on its Prepaid and Postpaid 4G, 3G, and 2G data packs by adding more data benefits to this mobile internet plans.
The added data benefits offer more value to money for heavy data using customers, as the slashed data rates are of bigger 4G and 3G data packs.
As per the new 4G and 3G mobile internet plan, the Rs 649 internet pack now offers 5 GB of 4G/3G data usage instead of the earlier 3 GB of data benefit, that’s around 67 percent savings. Subscribers can now get 10 GB of 4G/3G data benefit for Rs 990 monthly plan, which earlier offered only 6.5 GB of data benefit.

In addition to the new data-heavy packages, Idea has also increased the data benefits for 4G, 3G, and 2G Sachet mobile internet plans. The Rs 54 4G/3G data pack now comes with 220 MB of data benefits instead of 165 MB.

“While the price reduction in our sachet data packs was aimed at inducting more users into the world of the internet; the reduction in rates of BIG Recharge packs now, is aimed at delivering significantly higher Value for Money to our regular internet users,” commented Mr. Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular. “Our consumer research studies have indicated a growing demand for affordable high volume internet packs which we are aiming to fulfill with the new offers,” he added.
Earlier, India’s top telecom operator Airtel also reduced their data tariff on Prepaid 4G, 3G, and 2G data packs by adding more data benefits to data packs.
