After cutting down its 2G data rates by around 90%, Idea Cellular has once again come with a lucrative offer for its prepaid subscribers. In partnership with Facebook, Idea’s 2G and 3G prepaid customers can now enjoy free access to Facebook Messenger app absolutely free for a period of three months.
Facebook Messenger is one of the best instant messaging service which allow users to chat with their Facebook friends, share pictures, do group conversations with other Facebook members and share location details. Idea’s prepaid customers who have access to Facebook Messenger app (mainly for Android and iOS devices) can avail this offer by dialing *800*88#. From the day of activation customers can have free access to Facebook Messenger for the next 90 days which is equal to 200 MB data benefits after which they will be charged as per their subscribed data pack.
This is a one-time offer available to both 2G and 3G Idea customers till 31st July 2013. The above offer will be act as a pack-on-pack and will not overwrite any existing data pack of the customer. Only Facebook Messenger will be free and any other URL accessed from the Messenger page will be charged as per the user data pack.
Earlier this year another telecom operator Reliance Communication offered it’s customers with free unlimited access to Twitter for 3 months and also unlimited Facebook & Facebook Messenger access at an affordable rate of Rs 16 per month.
