To tap into the massive data and content sector, India’s third largest telecom operator Idea Cellular has introduced ‘Movie Club‘ for its mobile subscribers. A free video streaming app that offers movies, TV shows, music videos, across 10+ different languages including Hollywood, Bollywood and Regional contents. You can also get access Live TV channels, Youtube and Daily Motion through the app.
If you are an Idea mobile subscriber then you can download the exclusive Movie Club app for android devices from Google Play store. The company plans to launch the iOS version of the app in the coming months. Do note that the video streaming app is still in beta stage.
Coming back to the Movie Club app, which is actually a video on demand service (VOD). You can freely stream movies, TV shows, and other videos. You can also download the videos for offline viewing.
Idea Cellular has partnered with Eros and other Indian content providers for its content library. The video library got content ranging across ten different languages and varying from a short clip to a full-length movie.
Idea Movie Club premium subscription
So are you ready to try the app? well, the Idea Movie Club is available to pan India Idea mobile subscribers. It got both free and premium video contents. You will need a premium subscription for some of the videos which have a ‘Premium/Lock’ tag shown over it.
How much will it cost? the premium subscription to Idea Movie Club varies from daily packs to annual packs and starts as low as Rs 5. Do note that data charges will apply for streaming on the basis of your active pack/plan and consumption.

Currently, for every subscription, you will be charged from your account balance via operator billing. Idea soon plans to add other payment options like credit and debit cards, Idea Money etc. There is also Pay per view option, where you can pay for a specific video with the listed price.
As a promotional offer, Idea is offering one month trial of its premium subscription to all newly registering users. Post the trail period you can choose to renew at normal monthly or annual price.
