Understanding this needs India’s third largest telecom operator Idea Cellular has launched !-plan for its Postpaid customers pan India. The new plan offers customers with their own personalisation, flexibility and choice. Idea’s moto here is “A postpaid plan that gives you what you want, the way you want and exactly how much you want“.
Idea !-plan is offered to Postpaid customers with a monthly subscription rates of Rs 199, Rs 299, Rs 399, Rs 599 and Rs 999 with each having certain benefits and free packs added to it. For example Idea !-plan 199 which been offered for a monthly subscription of Rs 199, provides customers with 4 benefits or free packs. This benefits can be taken in the form of talktime (local, STD and ISD), internet packs ( 2G and 3G) and SMS packs (local and national). Customers are free to choose any pack according to their needs, like one may choose talktime pack twice getting extra local and STD talktime minutes.
Idea Cellular is also offering a free !-plan for Postpaid customers with monthly zero subscription. Customers choosing this plan gets free !-plan packs which including 100 minutes local calls, 90 minutes STD calls, 6 minutes ISD calls to US/Canada/UK, 250MB of free 2G data usage or 135MB of free 3G data usage, 40 minutes of outgoing on roaming and 150 local and national SMS a month.
Customers can also add up additional add-on packs along with their !-plan which may include extra 2G/3G data usage, extra talktime and more for an additional rate. Some of the !-plan add-on pack include –

Some months ago Bharti Airtel introduced a way similar service for Postpaid customers called myPlan that allow customers to choose and customize their mobile plans the way they want. Subscribers can pick the rental, choose the benefits needed and can decide on the top-ups.
