Eyeing on the massive budget segment of Indian smartphone market where most of the sales happen, HTC India has launched an affordable Android smartphone – the Desire 210. The budget-friendly smartphone features a 4-inch display with dual-core processor, 5MP camera, 3G and dual-sim support at a price tag of Rs 8700.

HTC Desire 210 is one of the most affordable Android smartphones the company has launched in India. As to attract the mass, it support dual-SIM with one for micro-SIM and another for regular SIM.

Desire 210 spots a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It’s powered by a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572M processor coupled with 512MB RAM. It got 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. It carries a 5 megapixel camera on the back that support full HD video recording and a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with HTC’s Sense UI on top, along with support for HTC’s popular BlinkFeed and Video Highlights.

On the connectivity side Desire 210 supports 3G networks along with GPRS/EDGE. It also supports WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. To power them all the smartphone carries a 1,300mAh battery.

HTC Desire 210 will be available on all leading online and offline stores by the end of April 2014. Desire 210 brings challenge to the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2, Sony Xperia E1 Dual and a number of Smartphones from Indian mobile vendors Micromax, Xolo and Karbonn.
