Cisco Password Recover Service is a service instant created by Cisco , inorder if the network analyst / network engineer forgets about the password. Now a days , Many of Cisco Network Engineers know how to break into cisco router which can enable them to access or delete or reconfigure the router . This recover Service can be disabled just with a command. Now lets see it .
Just type “no service password-recovery” in the privilege , it will show a warning message just press enter and reload it . you are done . Now you should never ever forgot the password . As when you break into the router the entire configure will be deleted . It should be reset from first .
Router#enable
Router(config)# no service password-recovery
WARNING:
Executing this command will disable password recovery mechanism.
Do not execute this command without another plan for
password recovery.

R1(config)# exit
R1# reload
Proceed with reload? [confirm]
