India governments ‘Made in India’ initiative is striving, thanks to the mobile manufacturers who are now building more of their smartphones in India. One new entrant participating in this initiative is the Chinese mobile vendor Huawei.

After the launch of the camera-centric Honor 8, Huawei’s Honor brand has launched the Honor Holly 3. Company’s first ‘Made in India’ smartphone. The mid-range android smartphone mainly features a big HD display, an octa-core processor, 13-megapixel camera and the much-needed 4G LTE connectivity.

First, to the pricing, the Honor Holly 3 got a price tag of Rs 9,999. The mobile will be available for sale through various online and offline stores across India. The phone will come in Black, White and Gold color variants.

The Honor Holly 3 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Octa-Core Kirin 620 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. For intense gaming experience the mobile packs a Mali 450 GPU.

For storage, the Honor Holly 3 carries a 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded using microSD card. On the photography side, the mobile got a 13-megapixel camera on the back that comes with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash support and 28mm wide-angle lens. On the front for selfie lovers, the mobile got an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 4P lenses and 1.12um pixel size.

As for connectivity, Honor Holly 3 is a dual SIM smartphone and supports 4G LTE network (works with all Indian 4G bands) along with 3G and 2G networks. Other connectivity options include WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 skin over the top.

At the price tag of Rs 9,999, Honor Holly 3 will be in direct competition with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3, Lenovo’s Moto G4 Play and Coolpad Note 5. All three smartphone seems to be having better hardware and features than the Honor Holly 3.
