The successor to a popular smartphone series launched way back in 2015. Huawei’s subsidiary mobile brand, Honor has launched Honor Bee 2 in India. On a quick glance the the budget friendly mobile packs quad-core processor, expandable storage, dual SIM and essentially 4G with VoLTE support.

First to the pricing, the Honor Bee 2 will be sold at a price tag of Rs 7,499. The mobile will be available through offline mobile retail stores across India starting 19th April 2017. It will comes with 15-months service warranty and you get to choose from three colour options – gold, white and black.

Specification and Features

The Honor Bee 2 flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA 854×480 IPS display on the front. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a 1 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. To store all your media content the mobile carries 8GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 32GB using microSD card.

On photography, the Honor Bee 2 comes with a 5-megapixel camera at back. On front for selfie lovers the mobile carries a 2-megapixel camera. As for connectivity the dual SIM capable mobile supports 4G LTE network that works with every Indian telcos 4G band. The mobile also supports VoLTE, which allows you to make HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity option include 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and microUSB port.

The Honor Bee 2 runs an older Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with EMUI 3.1 UI skin on the top. Coming to the extra features, the mobile packs Smart Key functionality, which been placed on the left bezel. You can configure the Smart Key to do specific tasks like opening application, opening flashlight, skip music tracks etc. Another interesting feature packed with the mobile is the Rainbow Light. An LED notification light placed around the back camera module that lights up in different colours when you receive a a call, SMS or notification.
