Honor has today officially released the Honor 8 Pro in Inda with a price tag of Rs 29,999. As speculated, the mobile will be Amazon India exclusive and the first sale will happen on 13th July 2017.

For Amazon Prime customers, you will get an early chance to buy the  Honor 8 Pro on July 10th 2017.

More RAM, more power, better processor and latest OS. That’s Honor 8 Pro, the newest android smartphone launched in India by Huawei’s sub-brand Honor. It’s a worthy upgrade to the Honor 8 and smaller sibling Honor 8 lite. You also get dual camera setup, premium metal built, lots of storage option and 4G VoLTE support.

First, to the pricing, the Honor 8 Pro will sell at a price tag of Rs 29,999 (OnePlus 5 watch out). The mobile will be an Amazon India exclusive and will be available starting 13th July 2017. Those of you looking for a colourful variant, you get to choose from Navy Blue, Platinum Gold and Midnight Black colour options.

Honor 8 Pro Specification and Features

Honor 8 Pro got a metal unibody design that comes from the original Honor 8 mobile. It flaunts a 5.7-inch QHD LTPS LCD (1440×2560 pixels) display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, you will find Huawei’s own Kirin 960 octa-core processor powering the device which is coupled with 6GB of RAM. To store all your media content the mobile carries 64GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 128GB using microSD card.

Now to the main attraction of Honor 8 Pro, the two 12-megapixel camera sensors on the back. The camera comes with an aperture of f/2.2 and pixel size of 1.76-micron. One lens with RGB sensor captures rich colours, whereas the other lens with monochrome sensor captures more light with increased sharpness. This amazing combination helps you capture crisper, sharper, and more details photos. It also comes with hybrid auto-focus, that uses laser focus for short range, precise depth focus for long range. Using this camera, you can capture bokeh effect or blur background effect like in DSLR. For selfie addicts, there is an 8-megapixel camera front featuring f/2.0 aperture.

On the connectivity side, the Honor 8 Pro comes with 4G LTE network support that works on most of the 4G bands in India. Along with it, you also get VoLTE support for making HD voice calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, infrared sensor and NFC. The mobile got USB Type-C port for both charging and data transfer. For added security, the smartphone includes a 3D fingerprint sensor on the back that can unlock your mobile in 0.4 seconds. The whole device is fueled by a big removable 4,000mAh battery that can last easily for more than two days. The mobile runs on Android Nougat OS with EMUI 5.1 skin over the top.
