Search giant Google is giving computer users a feel of the season by bringing virtual snow and a string of lights to their browsers.

Let it snow

Simply search for “let it snow” on Google and prepare yourself for an HTML5 blizzard–actually, it’s more like a few flurries. The cool part comes after a few seconds, when your screen “frosts over” and your cursor can be used to trace messages or doodles like a finger against a window on a chilly day.

Hanukkah

Meanwhile, typing “Hanukkah” on Google search will bring up a string of lights on Google’s search results page.
Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple (the Second Temple) in Jerusalem.
