Google has introduced Newsstand in India with paid magazine and newspaper subscription. Through this service one can easily browse and read full length articles from top newspapers and magazines along with images, audio and video right inside the app.

Google Newsstand service actually started in November previous year by combining two of its popular services – Google Play Magazines and news reader app Google Currents. The Newsstand service offers Magazine subscription, newspaper article and users can also subscribe to website contents. Until now Indian users have only access to the free contents on Newsstand.

Google brings Newsstand with Magazine Subscription to India

Google Newsstand India includes both free and paid contents from top publications like New York Times, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal CNET, Huffington Post, The Guardian, Reuters and around thousand more. Among the Indian publications that will be offered include NDTV, VOGUE India, TV9 TELUGU, ABP Live, GQ India, Mid Day, iDiva, TV9 KANNADA, ABP, Indiatimes, Headlines Today, ZigWheels, ESPNCricinfo, Men’s Health, NDTV Tech and Gadgets, Aaj Tak, NDTV Movies, India Today, Business Today, Luxpresso, Danik Jagran, MensXP, Condé Nast Traveller India, Wonder Woman, Cosmopolitan, Mint and glamsham.

Users can buy a single issue of a magazines or subscribe to it with monthly recurring fees. Magazines are arranged under popular categories including Fashion & Gossip, Men’s magazine, Business, Computer & Tech, Family & Home, Consoles & Gaming, Media & Entertainment, Car &Bikes, Arts, Design & Photography and Sports & Leisure.
