Do a barrel roll! nop, then let’s try Googling it? Type the phrase “Do a barrel roll” in Google and your screen will see a roll around. You can achieve the same if you search for “Z or R twice” on Google.
Its a special easter egg treat from search engine giant Google. Both phrases are references to Star Fox 64, the classic 1997 Nintendo game. Peppy, the game’s veteran space pilot rabbit, tells hero Fox McCloud to “do a barrel roll” (a feat accomplished by pressing “Z” or “R” twice) multiple times throughout the game and this just made into Google’s wonderful easter egg entertainer for us.
Note that this has been build using HTML5, so you will be needing a web browser supporting that. Latest versions of Mozilla Firefox and Chrome does that for you. If any web genius out there, thinking of how they made it, that simple head over to this blog post. Here author Brian Sage explains about this nice CSS3 transitions and transforms.
Why wait go and Do a barrel roll!
