Need to enjoy internet browsing in the way it’s meant, get a Chromebook laptop with Google’s own Chrome OS. Taking the experience to the next level, Google unveiled ‘Chromebook Pixel‘ designed by Google bringing top-notch hardware, software and design. With the high-end specification, pricing is also on the higher end, Chromebook Pixel will cost around $1,299 ( Rs 71,000 aprox.) for the Wi-Fi only variant and $1,449 ( Rs 82,000 aprox) for the 4G LTE variant in US.
Chromebook Pixel features a 12.85-inch (2560×1700 resolution) display with the highest pixel density (239 pixels per inch) of any laptop screen on the market today, off-course better than Apple Retina display. Packed with 4.3 million pixels, the display offers sharp text, vivid colors and extra-wide viewing angles. With the gorgeous display Google also adds in touchscreen to the display making it simple and intuitive to do things like organize tabs, swipe through apps and edit photos with the tip of your finger.
“The philosophy of Chrome has always been to minimize the “chrome” of the browser. In much the same way, the goal of the Pixel is to make the pixels disappear, giving people the best web experience.” said Linus Upson, Vice President, Engineering in Chrome official blog.
Chromebook Pixel runs on a powerful Intel Core i5 processor (Dual Core 1.8GHz) with integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 4GB RAM. It comes with an internal storage of 32GB (for WiFi only model)/64GB (4G LTE model) solid state drive and comes with one terabyte Google Drive cloud storage for three years. It packs two USB 2.0 ports, a Mini DisplayPort, a 3.5mm headset jack and an SD card slot. It has a 59 Wh battery which can run the laptop up to 5 hours in active use.
As always Chromebooks are fully integrated with various Google products like Search, Gmail, YouTube, Maps and Google+ Hangouts. Since it’s based on Chrome OS, the Pixel boots up in seconds, requires almost zero setup or maintenance, and comes with built-in virus protection.
