Chinese mobile vendor Gionee has come up with a new series of android smartphones and the first product in the series is the newly launched Gionee X1. On a quick glance the mobile features HD display, 8MP front and back camera, fingerprint scanner, expandable storage option and 4G with VoLTE support.

The Gionee X1 is placed in the mid-range segment with a price tag of Rs 8,999. The mobile will be available on all major offline mobile retails across India. For colour options, you could choose between Black and Gold colour variants.

Gionee X1 specification and Features

Gionee X1 boasts a premium design with its metal unibody structure. The mobile flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS 1280×720 display. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. To store your media files the mobile comes with 16GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 256GB using microSD card in the dedicated slot.

Coming to photography, Gionee X1 boasts an 8-megapixel rear camera, as well as an 8-megapixel front selfie camera. Both front and back camera comes with LED flash support. As for connectivity, the mobile supports high-speed 4G LTE networks that work with every Indian telco’s 4G band. In addition, it also comes with VoLTE support that allows you to make HD voice and video calling. Other connectivity option includes 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4G, Bluetooth, and Micro USB. The mobile runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with company’s own Amigo 4.0 skin over the top. For added security, the mobile comes with a fingerprint scanner placed at the back of the mobile below the main camera. Fuelling the device is a 3,000mAh battery that can easily last more than a day of usage.
