Yet another milestone by the Indian arm of Chinese mobile vendor Xiaomi. During the one month long Diwali festive season, the company has sold more than four million smartphones.
The milestone was revealed in a tweet by Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jai. In his tweet, he said “M.I = Mission Impossible! @XiaomiIndia team has made the impossible possible again. We sold 4M+ smartphones during Diwali month!”
During this years Diwali festive season, Xiaomi smartphones were sold at a rate of 100 mobiles per minute. Over 4 million smartphones were sold in less than 30 days time period. Xiaomi smartphones were the leading smartphone brand during the Flipkart and Amazon India festive sale. The company has also sold over a million devices via its official Mi Indian online store.
The astonishing success of Xiaomi India is due it’s affordable price tag, quality and feature-rich products and better after sales service. The company has a whole lineup of Redmi and Mi smartphones in every price segment. This includes the bestselling Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A. The newest smartphone in direct partnership with Google, the Mi A1 was also a hot selling device during this festive season.
The company has earlier revealed that just after the 48 hours of festive sales at Flipkart and Amazon India, it has sold more than one million smartphones.
