Eying on the tablet craze of Indian consumers, India’s largest online retailer Flipkart has come up with its own Android tablet – Digiflip Pro XT 712. The mid-range tablet with 3G and voice calling capabilities is priced competitively at Rs 9999 and available for order exclusively at Flipkart (Flipkart.com/Digiflip).
Coming on to the design and form factor Flipkart Digiflip Pro XT712 features a 7 inch HD IPS display with thin bezel. The body is only 9.5mm thick and made up to metal-finished polycarbonate. On the back it got a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash support and on the front it got a 2 megapixel camera.
Inside the tablet, it’s powered by 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 (MediaTek MTK8382) Quad Core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 500 MHz Mali-400MP2 GPU support. It got 16GB internal memory that can be further expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. On the connectivity side Digiflip Pro XT712 got dual-SIM capability with support for 3G, 2G network along with voice calling feature. Thus one can use the tablet as a mobile phone, if he/she likes. Other than that the tablet support WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.0 with support for LE and HS profiles.
One bad point we found on the tablet is the software running on it. Digiflip Pro XT 712 runs on an older Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and there is no word on any sort of updates for it. Flipkart has pre-loaded the tablet with its shopping app and eBook reader.
