The much wanted feature for Business page owners, Facebook rolled out the Page Administrator Permissions and Post Scheduling. Earlier this was available through only third party paid Page Management Platforms like Hootsuite, Involver etc. With this two new feature, it will be easy for brand owners to effectively manage their Facebook Brand Page. Page Administrator Permission feature will lets you add more admins for a Facebook Page with different set of roles and the second one will let the you schedule post updates on Fan pages upto 6 months in advance. This feature will surely comes in handy as I personally own and manage 5 to 10 brand pages this new features will make the page more active and engaging. Lets have a look into the features deeply.
Facebook Page Administrator Permissions
So, how to add them its easy only managers can edit admins for a Page. To add another person to your Page admin and provide roles you need to go to first
- Open your Page’s admin panel
- Click Edit Page
- From the left column menu, click Admin Roles
- Type the names or email id of other people you’d like to add in the open field
- Click Manager below the name to choose what kind of admin you want to add
- Click Save Changes and you are done
Accept Manger all others admin roles are limited, now you can make sure, the admin’s of the page only do things that are assigned to them.
Facebook Page Post Scheduling
Another cool feature Facebook added is the Post Scheduling, Now you can prepare a post and schedule it to appear later by adding a date and time in the future before you post it to the wall. You can schedule a post up to 6 months in advance in 15-minute intervals. This feature earlier was only available with paid third party management tools. Now Page owners can correctly Schedule their post to appear in correct time on their Facebook Fan Page thus improving the user engagement in the Page. Its really to use
- Choose the type of post you want to add to your Page
- Click the icon in the lower-left of the sharing tool
- Choose the future year, month, day, hour and minute when you’d like your post to appear
- Click Schedule
You can also post to a date in the past, like posting important activities in the past that you have missed. The post will appear immediately at the appropriate place on your Page’s timeline. All times correspond to the current time zone you’re in.
