A hit hardware and software combo which includes a dual camera, Snapdragon SoC, extra memory and storage, bigger battery, Android Nougat and 4G with VoLTE support. That’s the new Coolpad Cool Play 6 android smartphone from the Chinese mobile vendor Coolpad. It’s somewhat a successor to the similar specced Coolpad Cool 1 which was developed by both Coolpad and LeECo.
For the power packed hardware, Coolpad has maintained a competitive mid-range price point. Coolpad Cool Play 6 is priced at Rs 14,999 and available exclusively via Amazon India. The first sale for the mobile will start on 4th September 2017, and you would able to choose from Gold and Black colours variants.
Coolpad Cool Play 6 Specification and Features
The Coolpad Cool Play 6 embrace a metal unibody design with curved edges. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD in-cell 1920 x 1080 display covered in 2.5D glass. Under the hood, you could find an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. For storing all your media content the mobile carries 64GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage using microSD card.
For photography, Coolpad Cool Play 6 uses a 13-megapixel dual rear camera. It features f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and dual-tone LED flash. One camera sensor is used to capture RGB colours, whereas the second camera sensor captures monochrome images. This allows you to capture those vibrant colour photos along with DSLR-like bokeh effects. For selfie addicts, the mobile comes with an 8-megapixel camera featuring f/1.8 aperture.
Coming to connectivity option the dual SIM Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes with 4G LTE capability that supports every 4G bands available in India. You also get the VoLTE support that allows you to make HD voice and video calling. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB Type-C. The mobile runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS with Coolpad’s custom UI over the top. The mobile comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back, which also acts as a quick capture button to take photos. Fuelling the whole device is a 4000 mAh battery that can keep the mobile running for more than a day.
