In its attempt to re-structuring voice, data and SMS plans Govt owned Indian telecom operator BSNL has withdrawn seven popular STVs for prepaid customers, regularized three STVs and also introduced two new promotional STVs for pan Indian customers.
Most of the withdrawn STVs are combo plans with SMS, data and voice minutes included under one recharge. One of the withdrawn popular combo STV includes STV 345 that offered on-net voice calls at 30 paisa per minute, off-net calls at 50 paise per minute, and at 10 paise per SMS, 1 GB of 3G data usage and voice calls at 70 paise per minute. Other withdrawn STV/Combo plans include STV 219, STV 535, STV 899, STV 13, STV 169 and SV 177.
Three STVs that been regularised include STV111, STV 222 and STV 333 where BSNL has reduced the benefits and decreased the validity of the same.
As a promotional offer for 90 days, BSNL has introduced STV 555 and STV 33. STV 555 offers Rs 470 of talk time + 280 minutes on-net voice minutes with a validity of 90 days. On the other hand STV 33 is basically a roaming free plan where one can get free incoming calls on roaming and outgoing local/std calls at 1.5 paise per second.
