Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-run telecom operator has announced rationalisation of its base plan or tariff to PV94 and PV95 for several plan vouchers and first recharge coupons (FRCs) under its GSM prepaid mobile service.
Under the revised BSNL mobile base plan or tariff, most of the prepaid plans and FRCs have been modified from Per Second/Minute plan PV74/PV75 to the Advanced Per Minute PV94 and Advanced Per Second PV95 plans. Basically, the telco has modified the Per Minute Plan PV75 to Advance Per Minute plan PV94. Similarly, Per Second Plan PV74 base tariff has been moved to Advance Per Second plan PV95. Almost ten plan vouchers and three FRCs are moved to the new Advanced Per Second/Minute plans as their base tariff.
As per the circular, FRC106 and FRC108 have been mapped from Per Second Plan PV74 to Advance Per Second plan PV95. Whereas, FRC107 will be moved to Advance Per Minute plan PV94.
Coming to prepaid mobile plans, base plans for PV153, PV186, PV365, PV429, PV485, PV666, PV997, PV999, PV1699, PV1999, PV2399 have been revised from Per Minute plan PV75 to Advance Per Minute plan PV94.
This revised base plans for multiple prepaid plans and FRCs has already come into effect from 24th July 2020.
Note that, under the Advance Per Minute Plan PV94, after you have crossed the voice FUP limit, you will be charged at Rs 1 per minute for local voice calls to any mobile network or BSNL landline. Local calls to other operators landline number and STD calls are charged at Rs 1.3 per minute.
On the other hand, Advance Per Second Plan PV95 charges your local calls to any mobile network and BSNL landline at Rs 0.02 per second. While local calls to other operators landline and STD calls will be charged at Rs 0.024 per second.
