A small change in the fine print, but a significant change in the form of value for money. The state-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revamped its popular Rs 187 STV adding unlimited data benefits.
If you remember, the telco launched the Rs 187 STV with unlimited voice calls in Home telecom circle and 1GB of data benefits. Now, BSNL has made some significant changes to the STV making it more attractive and value for money.
The new revamped BSNL Rs 187 STV offers unlimited voice calls (both local and STD) to any network in home telecom circle. You also get the same unlimited voice calling benefits on national roaming as well (excluding Delhi and Mumbai). Instead of the 1GB data limit, the telco has made the data benefits unlimited. You can use 1GB of 3G or 2G data at high speed and after that, the speed will get reduced to 40 kbps. At least you can use that low-speed internet connection to WhatsApp or read emails. The validity of the STV remains the same, for 28 days.
