The floodgates are opened, the government owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced around 700 percent increase in 3G data benefits for Postpaid mobile plans. Now even the lowest and most popular postpaid plan of Rs 99 (plan-99) gets free 3G data benefits.
Under the promotional scheme, BSNL is adding extra 3G data benefits to its existing postpaid mobile plans. The offer will be available to both existing and new postpaid subscribers in all telecom circles.
Starting from the lowest postpaid mobile plan, Plan-99 which earlier offered no data benefits now comes with 250MB of 3G data benefits. For Plan-225 the 3G data benefits have been increased from 200MB to 1GB per month. Similarly, for Plan-325, the 3G data benefits have been increased from 250MB to now 2GB.
Coming to the bigger plans, the Plan-525 now comes with 3GB of 3G data benefits. Earlier the same plan offered only 500MB of data benefits. Whereas the Plan-725 which comes with 1GB of data, now got bumped up to 5GB of 3G data benefits.

The above 3G data benefits will go live from 1st April 2014 for pan India customers. Existing BSNL postpaid users subscribed to any of this plans will get the benefits without any further action on their part. The promotional scheme will be available for a period of three months or 90 days.
The operator earlier announced ten times more 3G data benefits on postpaid voice plan 1125 and plan 1525. Under the postpaid voice plan 1125, you will now get 10GB of free 3G data benefits. Whereas the postpaid voice plan 1525 now comes with 30GB of free 3G data benefits per month.
