Well, the hike not that high but its mainly being added to broadband plans under Rs 1000. India’s top wired ISP provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a slight hike in the fixed monthly charges of various broadband plans. Most of the benefits in these broadband plans remain the same, but monthly rental has been hiked up to Rs 30 a month.

The revised tariff on BSNL Broadband was first shared by BSNL Kerala telecom circle and it currently notified through their website. The hike in fixed monthly charges is not limited to Kerala telecom circle but would be applicable on a pan-India basis. This revised fixed monthly charges for BSNL broadband plans would come into effect from 1st August 2020.

The hike on fixed monthly charges would effect seven BSNL Broadband plans ranging from 2GB BSNL CUL (Rs 349) to 15 GB CUL (Rs 999).

BSNL Broadband revised Fixed Monthly Charges

The bases BSNL Broadband plan, the 2GB BSNL CUL which currently has a monthly rental or fixed monthly charge of Rs 349 has hiked to Rs 369 per month or an increase of Rs 20. Similarly, the 2GB CUL BSNL BB plan with Rs 399 fixed monthly charge has revised to Rs 419. Whereas, the fixed monthly charge of 3GB CUL BSNL BB plan has revised from Rs 499 to Rs 519.

Similarly, fixed monthly charges of 4GB CUL (Rs 599), 5GB CUL (Rs 699), Super Star 300 ( Rs 749) and 15 GB CUL (Rs 999) has been revised to Rs 629, Rs 729, Rs 779 and Rs 1029, respectively. That’s a hike of Rs 30 per month for these BB plans.
