BSNL has decided to further extend the Sunday free calling offer for its landline, Broadband, combo and FTTH plans on a pan-India basis. The Sunday free calling offer will continue indefinitely until further notice from the telco.

Due to customer rage, the government-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has pulled its decision to withdraw Sunday free voice calling offer on its broadband and landline plans. The telco has now extended the same Sunday free voice calling offer for another three months or until May 2018.

BSNL initially planned to stop the Sunday free voice calling offer on its broadband and landline plans starting this Febrarury 2018. However, the telco in a statement issued late on Saturday confirmed that it’s pulling its decision and extending the offer for another three months.

It’s however not clear, what will happen after three months. The telco may further extend the Sunday free voice calling offer or completely withdraw as it planned. We have to wait and see.

BSNL landline users get Unlimited free calling to any network on all Sundays

Those who are unaware, BSNL started offering unlimited free calling on all Sunday’s for its landline and broadband customers under the ‘Freedom Offer’. Under this offer, you can make unlimited free voice calls to any network’s mobile and landline on all Sundays. That’s without paying any extra rental or additional cost. It was one of the brilliant moves from the telco last year to attract more users it’s diminishing wired service segment.

So, now it will be a great relief for those who are utilizing the offer with their landline and broadband plan. You can continue calling your loved ones under any telecom operator across India for free on Sunday’s. Do note that, the telco has however made changes to the night free calling timing. From the existing 9 PM to 7 AM, free daily night calling time was revised to 10.30 PM to 6 AM every day.
