After the decision to withdraw all existing 2G/3G data STVs and the introduction of unified 2G and 3G data STVs packs for both prepaid and postpaid customers across India, Govt owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has now brought affordable data STVs under the new unified 2G/3G mobile services for prepaid customers across India.

With the four new uniform 2G and 3G data STVs, prepaid customers can enjoy high-speed data transfer at a very affordable rates. Uniform 2G and 3G prepaid data STVs starts as low as Rs 17 (DATA17) which comes with a bundled free data usage of 100 MB with a validity of 3 days. Rs 39 (DATA39) data plan offers bundled free data usage of 240 MB with a validity of 7 days and Rs 78 (DATA78) data STV offers bundled free data usage of 500 MB with a validity of 15 days. The fourth uniform 2G and 3G data STV priced at Rs 98 (DATA98) offers customers with free data usage of 700 MB with a validity of 21 days.

BSNL introduces affordable unified 2G/3G Data STVs for Prepaid Customers starting at Rs 17

After the free data usage limit prepaid customers will be charged at 2 paisa per 10KB. The new unified 2G and 3G data STVs will be come into effect from 15th August 2013.

In addition BSNL will convert all 2G customers with 2G data STVs activated to default profile of 3G with no speed restriction from 15th August 2013. So virtually all BSNL customers using data packs will be converted to 3G customers.
