Yet another smartphone under the Zenfone 3 family which got a very BIG battery that can last up to 3 days. Asus has launched the big battery packed Asus Zenfone 3s Max (ZC521TL) in India. On a quick glance, the smartphone packs 3GB of RAM, runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, 13-megapixel camera and 4G LTE with VoLTE support. First, to the pricing, the Asus Zenfone 3s Max comes with a price tag of Rs 14,999. The smartphone will be available on both online store like Flipkart and offline retail stores. You can choose from two color options – Gold and black.
Design and Performance
Keeping the same design language of Zenfone 3 series, the Asus Zenfone 3s Max got a metal unibody design with curved edges. On the front to give a premium aesthetics look the mobile is covered with 2.5D Glass touch-screen. The mobile flaunts a 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD 1280 x 720-pixel display and comes with a pixel ratio of 282 ppi.
Under the hood, the Asus Zenfone 3s Max packs a 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6750 Octa-Core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. To store all your media contents the mobile carries 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. The mobile actually features a hybrid SIM slot. So you can either have dual SIMs or one SIM and one microSD card combination. Unlike other Zenfone 3 smartphone, the Zenfone 3s Max runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box. The Android operating system is wrapped under Asus’s Zen UI skin.
Camera and Connectivity
For mobile photographers out there, the Asus Zenfone 3s Max comes with a 13-megapixel PixelMaster camera on the back. It features f/2.0 aperture, 5p Largan lens, 52MP super resolution, and dual LED real tone flash. On the front for selfie addicts, the mobile comes with the 8-megapixel camera. It features an 85-degree field of view that lets you capture those group selfies or get a clear background detail.
On the connectivity side, the Asus Zenfone 3s Max supports 4G LTE that works with all Indian 4G bands. It also supports VoLTE for HD voice and video calling. Other connectivity option includes WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and OTG compatible. As its most touted feature the mobile packs 5000 mAh battery. The company claims the battery can offer up to 34 days of the 4G standby time, up to 18 hours of the video playback, up to 28 days of the 3G talk-time and up to 25 hours of the Wi-Fi web browsing. You can even use the battery as a power bank to charge up other smartphones.
For added security, the Zenfone 3s Max comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the front home button. It features 360-degree recognition that can unlock the mobile in a fraction of a second. The mobile also packs ICE-power enhanced 5-magnet loudspeaker. This speaker offers high clarity, low distortion, and booming sound.
