Not one but three different variants of Asus ZenFone 3 has been launched, packing entirely different hardware specification on all three.

Asus during the Computex 2016 trade show has unveiled its 2016 flagship android smartphones – ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Deluxe. The new ZenFone series brings unibody design with glass and metal frame, carries new features like USB Type-C ports, fingerprint sensor, and packs high-end hardware.

Asus ZenFone 3

The Asus ZenFone 3 is a true upgrade to the popular ZenFone 2 smartphone. The ZenFone 3 got an entirely new design and build that features metal frame with diamond-cut edges and 2.5D glass on front and rear. The phone weighs around 155 g and feels premium on hand.

Asus ZenFone 3 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display which has a ultra-slim 2.1mm bezel along with 77.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and comes fully protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. The mobile is powered by 2.0Ghz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor coupled with 4GB RAM for the 64GB internal storage variant and 3GB RAM for the 32GB internal storage variant. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.

There have been major improvements in the photography side, the ZenFone 3 now comes with 16-megapixel rear PixelMaster 3.0 camera with a large f/2.0-aperture lens and subject-tracking TriTech (laser, phase detection and continuous) auto-focus. It also comes with both optical and electronic image stabilization for blur-free photos and video, along with color correction sensor. On the front for selfie lovers, the mobile packs an 8-megapixel camera with a wide angle lens of 88-degrees.

On the connectivity side, ZenFone 3 got 4G LTE with support for all Indian 4G bands along with 3G and 2G network options, WiFi, Bluetooth V 4.2 and Type C 2.0. The phone runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow with Asus’s own ZenUI 3.0 on top.

Other added features include the fingerprint sensor placed just below the rear camera, advanced five-magnet speaker construction along with SonicMaster and High-Res Audio certification.

Asus has priced ZenFone 3 at $249 or approximately Rs 17,000 but has not yet announced the pricing and availability for the Indian market.

Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra

Next comes the Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra which is a sort of phablet with its bigger screen and it packs better processor, more ram, bigger battery, more megapixel camera and lots more features.

Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra got an all-metal unibody design with invisible antenna lines, 6.8mm thin edge and 1.3mm ultra slim bezels on the sides. The mobile flaunts a 6.8-inch full HD IPS display that comes with ASUS TruVivid technology, Bluelight Filter for better eye care and fully protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass4. It also comes with a dedicated display processor called the ASUS Tru2Life+ technology.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra is powered by 1.8Ghz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 Quad-Core processor coupled with 3GB RAM for the 32GB internal storage variant and 4GB RAM for the 64GB internal storage variant. The storage can be further expanded up to 200GB using microSD card and also packs 5GB lifetime ASUS WebStorage.

On the photography side, the ZenFone 3 Ultra got a 23-megapixel rear PixelMaster 3.0 camera with a large f/2.0-aperture lens, 92MP Super Resolution technology and subject-tracking TriTech (laser, phase detection and continuous) auto-focus. It also comes with both optical and electronic image stabilization for blur-free photos and video, along with color correction sensor. On the front for selfie lovers, the mobile packs an 8-megapixel camera with a wide angle lens of 85-degrees.

On the connectivity side, ZenFone 3 Ultra got 4G LTE along with 3G and 2G network options, WiFi, Bluetooth V4.2 and Type C 2.0. The phone runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow with Asus’s own ZenUI 3.0 on top.

Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra is available in gray, silver and pink color options with price starting at $479 or approximately around Rs 33,000. Asus has not yet announced the Indian pricing and availability of the smartphone.

The most powerful of the three and carrying super high-end hardware Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is the true flagship device.
