A perfect blend between hardware and software to build a productive notebook, with the mobility of a tablet and a powerful PC. ASUS at Computex, Taiwan unveiled the world’s first three-in-one notebook, tablet and desktop PC, the all new Transformer Book Trio.
Asus Transformer Book Trio features Dual Intel processors, Dual storage options and runs on Dual operating systems. It has a 11.6 inch Full HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixel. In the tablet mode it’s powered by 2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 chip that runs the Android Jelly Bean OS and a carries up to 64GB storage. When hooked with the PC Station dock it has a 4th generation Intel Core i7/i5 processor, a keyboard and a 750 GB storage, which runs on the Windows 8 operating system. The PC Station also serves as a charger for the tablet for extended battery life.
The three modes include the tablet mode with Android OS, when docked with PC station, it converts to Windows 8 laptop mode and with the tablet display detached, can be hooked up to an external display for use as a desktop PC with Windows 8. In the keyboard it carries a 33 watt hour battery and in the tablet mode the display carries a 19 watt hour battery.
Despite the different operating systems, the Transformer Book Trio has been designed to smoothly transition between modes, allowing users to sync data or continue to surf the webpage they’re on even when moving from notebook to tablet mode.
