Selfie obsessed and want to take your selfie photography to the next level? Taiwan-based mobile vendor, Asus has launched three selfie-centric android smartphone in India – Zenfone 4 Selfie, Zenfone 4 Selfie (Dual) and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro. All three mobiles excel in the selfie department with top-notch selfie front-facing cameras. Other than that, the mobile has pretty decent hardware and software to support it.
Before getting into the specs, let’s see the pricing of the mobiles. Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie, the lowest priced among today’s launch comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999. Whereas the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (Dual camera) ZD553KL model will retail at a price tag of Rs 14,999. Finally, the premium among the selfie smartphones, Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro gets a price tag of Rs 23,999. All three mobile will be available exclusively via Flipkart, starting 21st September 2017.
DuoPixel Selfie Cameras
Now coming to the actual selfie features of this three smartphones. The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro got the best selfie camera among the three and features a dual front camera setup. You get a combination of 24-megapixel Sony IMX362 dual-pixel image sensor of f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens of f/2.2 aperture. Well, the company is touting it to be the world’s “most advanced” 24MP “DuoPixel” selfie camera smartphone. With the selfie camera, you can shoot cool bokeh effects, wide-angle group selfies and can record 4K videos. The front cameras a supplemented with a soft light LED flash that’s help in low-light condition.
There is also a 16-megapixel back camera featuring f/2.0 aperture and Sony IMX351 sensor. You also get support for PDAF and dual LED flash. The back camera can also shoot videos in full 4K quality.
Next on the line is the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (dual camera version) which offers a combination of a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel sensor with a 120-degree field of view at the front. It also comes with support for soft light LED flash. On the back, the mobile carries a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash and phase-detection auto focus.
Finally, the standard Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie comes with a single 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It features f/2.0 aperture and can capture super wide 140-degree panoramic selfies with the “Selfie Panorama” mode. At the back, you get a 13-megapixel camera featuring phase-detection auto focus (PDAF) and LED flash support.
Zenfone Selfie Design and Hardware
All three Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie smartphones have a solid build metal unibody design. The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 by 1080) AMOLED display covered in 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. While the other two Zenfone 4 Selfie mobiles flaunt a 5.5-inch IPS HD display covered in 2.5D curved glass.
Under the hood, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is powered by a 2GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. While the Zenfone 4 Selfie (dual camera version) gets an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and standard Zenfone 4 Selfie is powered by the same processor but paired with 3GB of RAM.
To store your selfies and other media content, all three Zenfone 4 Selfie mobiles carry 64GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage using MicroSD card. The devices actually come with a triple slot, so you get two SIM slots and one dedicated memory card slot. The mobiles, run on Android Nougat with new ASUS ZenUI 4.0 skin over the top. For extra security, the mobiles come with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the front home button.
Connectivity
Talking about connectivity, all three Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie smartphones support 4G LTE networks which work with every Indian telcos 4G band. You also get 4G VoLTE support for making HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Fuelling the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is a 3000mAh battery that supports fast charging. While, the other two Zenfone 4 Selfie smartphones comes with the same 3000mAh capacity battery, but lacks fast charging option.
