Carrying the optimum build quality along with better hardware and software, Asus India has launched Fonepad 8 android tablet in India. It features 8 inch HD display, 64 bit Intel Atom Quad Core processor, 16GB storage, 5 megapixel camera, Android KitKat, WiFi and 3G connectivity option with voice calling support.

The Asus Fonepad 8 tablet spots a 8 inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by 1.33 GHz 64-bit Intel Atom Z3530 Quad Core processor coupled with 2GB RAM offering seamless multitasking and PowerVR G6430 GPU for exceptional gaming experience. On the storage side the tablet carries 16GB internal storage that can be easily expanded up to 64GB using microSD card. On the back the tablet got a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and on the front a 2 megapixel camera for video calling. On the connectivity side the tablet got dual SIM capability, which supports 3G and 2G networks and also supports voice calling. Other connectivity options include WiFi and Bluetooth v4.0.

The Fonepad 8 tablet runs on Android KitKat operating system with Asus Zen UI user interface on top. The tablet is expected to get Android lollipop update in the coming months.
