Apple at California Theatre in San Jose, unveiled some of the most rumored and awaited next generation products including the new iPad Mini, iMac, Mac Mini, new iPad and 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro. Featuring the gorgeous 7.9 inch Retina display, faster A6X Chip, FaceTime HD Camera and Ultrafast Wireless the new iPad Mini is the main highlight of the event. It’s the slate that’s in direct competition with Google’s Nexus 7 tablet and Amazon Kindle Fire.

The new iPad mini features a stunning 7.9-inch Multi-Touch display having the same number of pixels as the original iPad and iPad 2. It also got FaceTime HD and 5 megapixel iSight cameras and can record full 1080p HD video. It features dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi support for speeds up to 150 Mbp which is twice the Wi-Fi performance compared to previous iPad models. iPad mini comes is Wi-Fi + Cellular models ( LTE and 3G) supporting ultrafast wireless standards. According to Apple the iPad mini delivers up to 10 hours of battery life with a 16.3 watt-hour battery.

The iPad mini comes in ‘black and slate’ and ‘white and silver’. with a dimensions of 200 x 134.7 x 7.2 mm. It is powered by an Apple A5 chipset that was used in the earlier iPad 2.It also features a 1.2-megapixel front camera with 720p video capture capability. iPad mini with Wi-Fi models will be available from November 2 on selected markets (not include India) for a retail price of $ 329 for 16GB model, $ 429 for the 32GB model and $529 for the 64GB model.

The fourth generation iPad with Wi-Fi models will be available from November 2 on selected markets (not include India), in black or white at a retail price of $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB model and $699 for the 64GB model.

Apple Mac Mini

Apple has upgraded its Mac Mini range which starts now at Rs 39,900 and have integrated the latest Intel Ivy bridge processor along with more RAM. The new Mac mini’s got four USB 3.0 ports, a thunderbolt port, a firewire 800 port, a HDMI port, a SD card reader and gigabit Ethernet connectivity port.

The base model, which is priced at Rs 39,900, equipped with new dual-core Intel i5 processor that is clocked at 2.5GHz, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive.The second model priced at Rs 52,900 is powered by a quad-core Intel i7 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 4GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive. Apple has also got a OS X Server based model with specification of quad-core Intel i7 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 4GB of RAM and a double 1TB hard drive, its been priced at Rs 65,900.

Apple completely redesigned the iMac with a stunning design, brilliant display with reduced reflection, and faster hardware processors. Apple unveiled an innovative new storage option called Fusion Drive, which is same as HDD/SDD hybrid. The new iMac features a completely reengineered display that reduces reflection by 75 percent while maintaining brilliant color and contrast. In the new design, the cover glass is fully laminated to the LCD and an anti-reflective coating is applied using a high-precision plasma deposition process.

The new iMac features third generation quad-core Intel Core i5 processors that can be upgraded to Core i7. The latest vidia GeForce GT 640M GPU which deliver up to 60 percent faster performance for advanced gaming and graphics intensive apps. Every new iMac now comes standard with 8GB of 1600 MHz memory and a 1TB hard drive, and customers can choose to configure their iMac with up to 32GB of memory and a new 3TB hard drive, or 768GB of flash storage for ultimate performance. With two Thunderbolt and four USB 3.0 ports, the new iMac delivers even greater expandability and support for high-performance peripherals. Fusion Drive combines 128GB of flash with a standard 1TB or 3TB hard drive to create a single storage volume that intelligently manages files to optimize read and write performance. iMac ships with the latest OS X Mountain Lion.

Apple 13? Retina MacBook Pro

Apple has brought their gorgeous retina display to the 13? Retina MacBook Pro. At a mere 0.75 inches and 3.57 pounds, the remarkably portable 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display is 20 percent thinner and almost a pound lighter than the current 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Two Thunderbolt and two USB 3.0 ports allow users to connect to multiple displays and high-performance devices, and a new HDMI port offers quick connectivity to an HDTV.
