Well, it seems the Apple fanboys in India need to have a very BIG pocket to own the latest iPhones. The new Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be going on sale in India starting from 7th October 2016.
The new iPhones will be available across major telecom stores, like Airtel and Vodafone store, Apple authorised reseller stores across India and through all major online e-commerce websites. This includes Apple’s authorised online stores Flipkart and Infibeam. As expected the minimum price for the new iPhone 7 will start at Rs 60,000 and will go all way up to Rs 92,000 from the top-end model.
Let’s break down the pricing for all iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus variants and its various accessories including the new wireless AirPods launching in India.
Going from lowest variant/price to highest, the Apple iPhone 7 32GB storage variant will come with a price tag of Rs 60,000. While the iPhone 7 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 70,000 and the 256GB variant is priced at Rs 80,000.
Now for the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, the price tag starts at Rs 72,000 for the 32GB storage variant, while the 128GB variant is priced at Rs 82,000. Wait there is one more, the Apple iPhone 7 Plus 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 92,000. Yup, around one lakh rupees for a smartphone.
You may have noticed that the new iPhones won’t come with the 3.5mm audio jack. Instead, Apple is using the lightning port for the audio. Luckily the company will be bundling a pair of wired EarPods with lightning connector and a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack adapter with the smartphones. If you are looking to buy them separately, then the EarPods with lightning connector will cost you Rs 2500 and the lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack adapter will come with a price tag of Rs 900.
Another addition to the iPhones is the wireless AirPods which will come with a price tag of Rs 15,400. Other accessories include the leather and silicone cases priced from Rs 2,900, Smart Battery for Rs 8,900 and Lightning Docks for Rs 3,700.
If the new iPhones are above your reach, then Apple has revised the pricing for last year’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The Apple iPhone 6s 32GB variant got a price cut to Rs 50,000 and the 128GB variant is now priced at Rs 60,000.
Whereas the Apple iPhone 6s Plus 32GB variant got a price tag of Rs 60,000 and the 128GB variant is priced at Rs 70,000. Do note that Apple has discontinued the 16GB variant of iPhone 6s models and all earlier iPhones except iPhone SE. The Apple iPhone SE will be now available at a price tag of Rs 39,000 for 16GB storage variant and Rs 44,000 for the 64GB storage variant.

Apple Watch Series 2
Along with the new iPhones, Apple will also be releasing the new Apple Watch Series 2 is India on 7th October. If you are looking to get one of those smart watches, then the pricing starts at Rs 32,900. The special, Apple Watch Nike+ model will be available for Rs 32,900 for the 38mm variant and Rs 34,900 for the 42mm variants.
The super premium Apple Watch Edition will come with a price tag starting at Rs 110,900. It boasts a ceramic case with sports band.
