High-speed internet connection to every household and enterprises at an affordable price tag is slowly becoming a reality for the poeple of Andhra Pradesh. Hon President Ram Nath Kovind has dedicated the pet project of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the AP Fiber Grid digital services to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

AP Fiber services include wired and wireless broadband, IPTV, landline telephone, Video on Demand, Virtual classrooms, FSOC and drones. All this in a nominal price tag which is affordable to the masses.

AP Fiber Grid works are undertaken by the Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited (APSFL), a State government nodal agency. Under the project, the government aims to connect 1.3 crore households, 50,000 schools, 10,000 government offices and 5,000 public health centres by end of the year 2018. For this, the agency has laid high-speed aerial Optical Fiber Cable over 23,800 km across the 13 districts in the State and connecting 2,464 substations.

AP Fiber rolls out its digital services - Broadband, IPTV, Landline

Essentially, the AP Fiber offers three main services. IPTV with over 250 channels, telephone service for voice calling and broadband service with up to 100 Mbps speed. For households, the service starts at a nominal monthly rental of Rs 149 and for enterprises its starts at Rs 999.

AP Fiber tariff plans

Looking on to the AP Fiber tariff plans, as said earlier for households or normal people the triple service starts at Rs 149 and goes all way up to Rs 599. Every AP Fiber households packages come with 250 TV channels and unlimited voice calls at no extra cost.

The AP Fiber Basic package for Rs 149 per month offers download speed of 15 Mbps till the FUP limit of 5 GB. AP Fiber Standard package for Rs 399 per month offers the same download speed of 15 Mbps, but with a higher FUP limit of 25 GB. Finally, the AP Fiber Premium package priced at Rs 599 per month will come with a FUP limit of 50 GB. For all these packages, you will get unlimited data usage even after the FUP limit but with a reduced download speed of 1 Mbps.

For enterprise users, the AP Fibre packages start at Rs 999 per month. This AP Fibre Basic package for Institutions and Private Offices, offers 100 Mbps download speed with a FUP limit of 50 GB. The Standard package priced for Rs 1499 per month will have a FUP limit of 100 GB and after this limit unlimited data usage at 2 Mbps. Lastly, the AP Fibre Premium package for enterprise users will cost Rs 2499 per month and comes with a FUP limit of 250 GB. Once you hit the FUP limit, the speed will be reduced to 3 Mbps, but with unlimited data usage.
