To take on Reliance Jio’s Prime membership plans, India’s top telecom operator Airtel has updated its two popular voice and data bundled data packs. The Rs 145 and Rs 349 bundled packs which will now offer subscribers with unlimited free voice calling minutes and 14GB of high-speed 4G data benefits.
Let’s dig deep into Airtel’s bundled packs against Jio Prime plans. The affordable pack among the two, the Rs 145 bundled data pack comes with unlimited voice calls to anywhere in India. But the voice calls are limited to Airtel numbers. Which means you can only have unlimited voice calls between Airtel to Airtel anywhere in India.
Under this pack, you also get 14GB of high-speed 4G data benefits. But here the data benefits is distributed over the period of one month. That means you will get the 14GB of 4G data with a daily usage limit of 500MB per day. Any extra usage after the daily cap will cost you extra money according to your data plan.
The Rs 349 bundled data pack seems to be a more appropriate plan to fight against Jio’s Rs 303 Prime plan. The pack offers subscribers unlimited voice calling to any network and to anywhere in India. In addition, you also get 14GB of high-speed 4G data benefits. This data benefits also comes with a daily limit of 500MB per day. Both packs have a validity to 28 days.

These two bundled packs are available for selected customers of Airtel. The bundled pack price may vary from telecom circle to telecom circle. So you may need to check the pack’s price for your telecom circle before recharging. You can either use Airtel’s website or MyAirtel app to recharge the above bundled data packs.
Recently to counter Reliance Jio, Airtel announced the end of all domestic roaming charges on voice calls, SMS and data usage. You will get free incoming calls and SMS while on roaming. There will be no extra charges for outgoing voice calls and SMS while roaming in India. In addition, there won’t be any additional charges for 4G data packs while using it on national roaming.
