Subscribers of India’s largest telecom operator can rejoice as you could freely access live matches and match highlights of the upcoming IPL 2018 through its video/live streaming app Airtel TV via the Hotstar app. Thanks to the recent partnership between Airtel and Hotstar.
Airtel is also updating its Airtel TV app which now comes with a dedicated cricket section. This section will have curate content and highlights of each IPL match. Taking the Jio’s path, the telco has come up with its own mobile game and contest, where you could win lots of prizes. IPL 2018 cricket matches are scheduled for April 7 to May 27.

To live stream IPL 2018 matches, you should make sure to have the latest Airtel TV app, which is available to download on both Android and iOS. Further, you would also need to download the latest version of Hotstar mobile app. During the cricket match, open up the Airtel TV app and access the live streaming channel (probably Star Sports). You would be then instantly redirected to the Hotstar app, from where you could continue to freely stream the match without any delay or limits.
If you’re not with both these telecom operators, then you’re left with Hotstar and its new All Sports premium subscription plan. The Rs 299 worth yearly plan would offer unlimited access to live sports events including IPL 2018, other cricket matches, football, tennis, Formula 1, and others. Without any subscription, you could stream only the first ten minutes of the IPL cricket match on Hotstar. In some case, you would still able to stream the match but with a time delay of 5 to 10 minutes.
