The results are out for the fastest mobile network in India for the year 2016. Ookla, the company behind Speedtest has rated India’s top telecom operator, Bharti Airtel as the fastest mobile network in India.
If you are guessing from where the result came from, then Ookla has analysed millions of internet speed tests done on its Speedtest app. These internet speed tests are done by the mobile customers across India. The results include all mobile tests like download, upload and ping test, regardless of connection technology (4G/3G/2G).

According to the latest TRAI report, Airtel ranked as the top mobile network in India with the highest average download speed. Airtel’s network offered an average download speed of 8.428 Mbps higher than Reliance Jio’s 8.345 Mbps average download speed. On the average upload speed also Airtel topped with a upload speed of 3.217 Mbps. Airtel has also regained the top position in Netflix Indian ISP Speed Index.
