With an investment up to Rs 2000 crores spanning over a period of next three years, India’s largest telecom operator Airtel has launched ‘Project Next‘. A digital innovation program which aims to offers enhancement to its customer experience across its offline in-store and online channels. The new project will also complement the operators existing investments towards building a future-ready network under Project Leap.
Next-Gen Digital Airtel Stores
Airtel will be redesigning and digitalizing over 2500 Airtel stores across India. The new stores will have minimalistic design and pack digital technologies that will make customer experience highly interactive. The whole programme is conceptualised by the UK based 8 Inc.
- Airtel stores will be based on the concept of Share Create Experience.
- Share – where customers can directly interact with a Social Wall that curates Airtel stories and Airtel customer experiences from across the country on digital screen.
- Create – an interactive experience for the customer to explore and discover every Airtel services. Through a ‘Touch Screen Table Top’ you can even create your own custom solutions based on all Airtel services.
- Experience – a digital entertainment hubs in-store to experience various Airtel digital contents like Airtel Wynk music, Airtel Wynk movies, Live TV, games etc.
For building the next-gen digital Airtel stores, the operator has spent almost 2450 hours observing customers and mapping traffic flows within its stores. In this store, you can get the first-hand experience of the Airtel network with the Open Network digital wall. You can also give real-time feedback to Airtel in this next-gen digital Airtel stores.
MyAirtel App gets real time enhancement
If you are an Airtel customer, then you would probably know the benefits and features offered in MyAirtel mobile app. The operator has now made the entire customer experience real time through the app. So, you could now change plans, add or remove VAS, get real-time notifications on the fulfilment of services and more with a click of a button.
Airtel Postpaid Promise
In a way to offer better customer experience to its Postpaid subscriber base, Airtel has come up with an all new Postpaid Promise. Airtel’s Postpaid customers can now carry forward their unused data to next billing cycle, customise family plans and get digital smartphone protection suite.
The ‘Data Roll Over Promise’ where unused data in a month is carry forwarded to next billing cycle. Airtel Postpaid customers can carry forward their unused data benefits from their current billing cycle to the next billing cycle. For example, if you are subscribed to Rs 499 myPlan postpaid plan then you are entitled to get 5GB of data benefits per month. In a month if you use only 3GB data, then rest 2GB will be carry forwarded to next month. You can collect up to 200GB of data benefits under this scheme. Data carry forwarded feature will come into effect from 1st August 2017.
Next is the ‘Family Promise’ where Airtel’s postpaid customers can create customised plans for their family through MyAirtel app. They can make plans which share voice, SMS and data benefits across all connection. In addition, you can save up to 20 percent on monthly bills. Another benefit is that you can add any Airtel Prepaid connection to your family postpaid plan by switching the account from Prepaid to Postpaid with the help of MyAirtel app. All this process won’t require any paperwork or visiting Airtel store or calling customer care.
Finally the ‘Security Promise’ a digital smartphone protection suite called Airtel Secure. Using this postpaid customer can secure and insured their smartphone against accidental or liquid damage. Airtel through its partners offers doorstep pickup, repair through authorised service centre and delivery back to your home.
