Would you love to chat with your friends in your regional language? India’s top telecom operator Bharti Airtel is now offering its pan India prepaid customers free access to world’s popular social networking site Facebook in nine regional Indian languages.
Airtel’s prepaid customer can now post status updates, comment, upload photos and more in on Facebook in their own regional language including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Prepaid customers across different platforms including Java, Android, iPhone and Windows devices will be able to avail this free offer. They can either use the dedicated Facebook app for their mobile device or can visit m.facebook.com on their mobiles.
There is one catch to all this ‘Free Facebook’, Airtel has capped the free usage to 30MB per month and any usage after that limit will be charged.
It’s not the first time Facebook has partnered with India telecom operators to offer free access to its service. Earlier Idea Cellular offered 3 months free access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger to its customers and other telecom operators offered dedicated Facebook plans for their customers.
