Aerovoyce the telecom service entity, part of the digital payment provider Adpay has launched India’s first MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) service. The Chennai-based company has received the final approval from Department of Telecom (DoT) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to start MVNO service.

Aerovoyce has started offering international calling services along with fiber broadband internet service to customers. Currently, the operator is rolling out its service in limited cities of Tamil Nadu telecom circle. This includes Salem, Coimbatore, Thanjavur, Cuddalore and Kanyakumari.

Those who are hearing MVNO for the first time, the operators wth MVNO license can provide mobile services including voice and data services under their own brands to customers without owning any spectrum or mobile infrastructure. These service providers actually buy voice minutes, SMS and data bandwidth in bulk from multiple (or single) telecom operators and then resells them to customers.

Aerovoyce rolls out MVNO Operation in India - starts with International SIM and Fiber Broadband

Aerovoyce will be offering international calling SIM cards, which will be priced $15 or around Rs 1000. Under this, you will get 100 minutes of talk value and 50MB of data benefits. You can buy this SIM cards from Airport kiosks, mobile retail stores, etc.

Aerovoyce Fibre Broadband

Another area, Aerovoyce will roll out its service include fibre broadband service. The operator will offer unlimited internet plans with speed up to 150 Mbps. All the broadband plans come with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) thereby connection speed is throttled once you cross the monthly data limit of your plan.

Aerovoyce broadband plan starts at Rs 249 per month and comes with unlimited usage at 4 Mbps speed. It comes with a FUP limit of 30GB after which the speed is reduced to 512 Kbps. Next is the Youth Plan priced at Rs 849 per month and comes with unlimited usage at 10 Mbps speed. It has a FUP limit of 120GB after which the speed is reduced to 512 Kbps.

On the higher end, Aerovoyce got the ‘All in One Plan’ priced at Rs 2999 per month. This plan offers unlimited internet usage at 150 Mbps speed. It also got a FUP limit of 550GB after which the speed is reduced to 2 Mbps.

Aerovoyce initially will focus in Tamil Nadu telecom circle and move onto more telecom circles in the future. The company said to be focusing on ‘townships and rural areas’ with a population of above 10,000 to 50,000 in the first phase of the operation. The operator will also bundle its parent companies ADPAY mobile wallet services with its voice and data connections.
