The third generation of Aakash tablet seems to be having the same hardware specification as of previous generation Aakash 2 tablet except the added cellular modem, allowing you to put regular SIM for full phone and internet connectivity.
DataWind the company behind building low-cost tablet for Govt have recommended this specification for the new Aakash3 tablet, which will be finalized by the NMEICT (National Mission for Education through Information Communication Technology) before end of March 2013. On the basis of recommended specifications submitted for Aakash 3, Datawind has commercially launched the UbiSlate 7C+ at a price of Rs 4,999. The recommended specification of Aakash 3 tablet and commercial version UbiSlate 7C+ include –

- 4GB Internal memory along with micro-SD card slot for expandable memory up to 32Gb
- Multi touch capacitive screen
- Android 4.0.3 OS
