Well, a bump in the RAM and equally bump in pricing makes a new smartphone. The Micromax backed YU has launched the upgraded version of last year’s Yunique smartphone, the all new Yunique Plus.
We can’t exactly say this as a big upgrade, as just the RAM has been upgraded to 2GB from the earlier 1GB. Specifications and features are just same as older YU Yunique smartphone. Whereas just for the RAM upgrade, YU is charging a premium of Rs 2000 extra, taking the cost of Yunique Plus to Rs 6,999.
Coming to the specification, Yu Yunique Plus flaunts a 4.7-inch HD IPS display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and comes with 312 ppi offering crisp display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM and Adreno 306 Graphics.
It comes with 8GB internal storage, which can be easily expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. For photography, the smartphone carries an 8-megapixel autofocus camera on the back and a 2 megapixel 83-degree wide-angle front-facing camera.
Connectivity wise the Yu Yunique smartphone got dual SIM capability that comes with high-speed 4G LTE CAT4 network with support for all Indian 4G bands along with 3G, 2G network support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
