Indian mobile vendor Spice has launched India’s first Firefox phoneSpice Fire One Mi – FX 1, a super affordable smartphone price at Rs 2,299. With modest hardware specification, this smartphone is intended for the feature phone users in India, who can have their first smartphone without shelling out too much money.

Spice Fire One Mi – FX 1 features a 3.5 inch or 8.89 cm HVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by 1GHz single core processor that allows seamless internet browsing. It spots a 2 megapixel camera on back and a 1.3 megapixel from-facing camera. On the connectivity side the device has dual-SIM capability, but unfortunately supports only 2G networks along with WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity.

The device runs Firefox OS which is built entirely to open Web standards with features developed as a HTML5 application that offers great flexibility, scalability and powerful customization.

As made for the Indian masses, Spice Fire One Mi – FX 1 got multiple language support including Hindi, Tamil and Bangla. It also comes pre-loaded with several apps including popular Facebook, Twitter and Connect A2.
