Step into the future as Samsung has introduced the world’s first curved display smartphone – GALAXY ROUND, featuring a 5.7inch Full HD Super AMOLED flexible display and runs on the latest Android mobile OS. With imminent launch happening this October 10th, 2013 in Korea.
Samsung Galaxy Round is built to have a sleek look, with 7.9mm thick and weighs just 154g, it offers a comfortable hand grip feeling to user, and unique experiences of curved display. It features a 5.7 inch Full HD Super AMOLED flexible display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.
Samsung has loaded the smartphone with lots of additional features and apps that take advantage of the curved display like the Roll Effect that enables the user to check information such as the date, time, missed calls and battery during the home screen is off, and the Gravity Effect for creating visual interaction with the screen by tilting the device. With Bounce UX users can easily control their music, when the screen is off a short press to the left of the device will play the previous track while a short press to the right will play the next track. Finally the Side Mirror feature that enables users to gain access to list of the photo and video album content with a left and right tilt.
Other features included are way similar to that found on earlier announced on Galaxy Note 3 like the One-Hand Operation feature where users can bring most controls closer to a preferred side of the screen and Multi-Window feature that utilize the larger screen to split and run multiple apps.
Being the first mover in the curved display market, Samsung is all set to dominate the market.
