That’s some exciting news for the OnePlus fans out here in India, as company is planning to introduce its 2014 flagship killer smartphone OnePlus One in India soon. OnePlus One got powerful hardware specification along with popular CyanogenMod Android OS and all at half the price of flagship devices like Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S5 etc.

According to Carl, one of the Administrators in OnePlus forum – the company has received tremendous interest from India, way more than outweighing many of countries where the smartphone has already been released.

When we started OnePlus a little over half a year ago, we needed to race against time and focus on what we knew best. Our team primarily consists of North Americans and Europeans, which is why we launched there first.

Over the past months, we’ve seen tremendous interest from India, despite not having launched there. We have many customers in India purchasing to the US, and then asking a friend to bring it over or trans-shipping it. Some have even purchased the device from scalpers. Looking at our traffic, India ranks number 8, outweighing many of our launch countries.

It’s safe to say that we’re interested in India. Being such a young company, we also know that India is a huge challenge. We’re all about creating a great user experience from end to end. We understand that there are lots to learn, consider and set up before we can officially launch in this vast country.

While it’s not an official confirmation and there is no estimated time provided for the launch of OnePlus One smartphone in India, still we can make out the point that the device is one its way to India.
