Motorola India has launched Moto X Play android smartphone in India, with a price starting at Rs 18,499 and available exclusively at Flipkart. Sale of the smartphone starts today midnight (14th September 2015) via Flipkart along with a bunch of launch day offers.

So what makes Moto X Play an instant hit? the smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a super high pixel density of 403 ppi that offers crystal clear display. Under the hood, it got a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 550 MHz Adreno 405 graphic processor. Along with this Motorola has also packed Natural Language processor and Contextual Computing processor for some extra power.

Moto X Play comes with a 21-megapixel camera on the rear that got rapid focus or the Phase Detect Auto-Focus (PDAF) and colour-adjusting flash with its dual-CCT flash. On the front, the smartphone got a 5-megapixel selfie camera. On the storage side, the smartphone comes in 16GB and 32GB storage variant that can be expanded with microSD card up to 128GB. On the connectivity end the Moto X Play supports dual SIM capability with full support for 4G LTE, 3G and 2G connectivity along with Wi-Fi 802.11a/g/b/n (dual-band), Bluetooth and NFC.

One of the major advantage of Motorola smartphones is that they are water resistant. Moto X Play also comes with nano coating that makes the smartphone water repellent inside out. Motorola has also packed a bigger 3,630mAh battery on to Moto X Play that company says good for 48 hours of mixed usage. The smartphone also got support for TurboPower, which can charge the battery to 50 percent in just about 15 minutes. On the software side, the smartphone runs on almost pure Android, as Moto X comes with Android 5.1.1 lollipop out of the box.
