With improved display and hardware Motorola has launched its second generation Moto G in India. It now features 5 inch HD display, stereo sound, improved battery life that can last for more than a day and latest Android OS. The smartphone will go for sale tonight exclusively through India’s top e-commerce store Flipkart under a price tag of Rs 12,999.

The second generation Moto G now spots a brilliant 5 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and comes with Gorilla Glass protection. It’s now powered by 1.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 450MHz Adreno 305 GPU unit. This offers immense gaming experience along with a new level of multitasking.

The new Moto G will come in both 8GB/16GB internal storage and can be easily expanded with microSD cards. There is a bump in the camera section from the old model, the new Moto G now got a 8 megapixel rear camera with autofoucs and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for taking your selfies. The device got dual front-facing stereo speakers and it has built-in digital TV tuner through which one can watch their favourite TV programmes and also record and schedule them on the go.

On the connectivity side the Moto G has dual-SIM capability with intelligent calling feature that learns one’s calling patterns to determine the best SIM for an outgoing call. It support 3G, 2G networks along with WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity. On the software side the device runs on pure Android KitKat operating system with no bloatwares and will be upgradable to the latest Android L.
