Surprise! Google likes to offer big time surprises to android fans, as today it brings the highly affordable and low-budget smartphone from Motorola – Moto G to Play store as Google Play Edition Moto G. Off course its running the pure 100% stock Android 4.4 KitKat mobile operating system. It features a 4.5 inch HD display, Quad Core CPU, waterproof nano coating, customization options and at a price starting $179 (Rs 11,200 approx) for 8GB version.
Moto G Google Play edition got a 4.5inch sharp 720p HD edge-to-edge display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel that stretches to all four corners of the phone. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 350 GPU with 1GB RAM to provide seamless multitasking with all-day battery life. On the rear it carries a 5 megapixel shooter with LED flash and on the front it got a 1.3 megapixel camera. It comes with 8GB or 16GB internal memory variants, but there is no expandable storage option with microSD card. It also got a water-resistant nano-coating on the inside and outside. On the connectivity front it supports 3G and 2G networks along with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.0.

The Google Play Edition Moto G 8GB model will cost the same $179 (Rs 11,200 approx) as the original Moto G and the 16GB edition will cost an extra of $20 to $199 (Rs 14,600 approx). It’s currently only available on US Play store (Google Play). With the addition of Moto G on US Google Play store, we can except it to soon land on Indian market with an affordable price tag.
