The LG V20 got a premium look and solid build. It built with lightweight aluminum and silicon-based material. For extra protection, the mobile got Silicone Polycarbonate (Si-PC) on top and bottom, that protects the mobile from accidental drops. The company claims the phone to be extra durable and will function even if dropped repeatedly from a height of four feet and landing in various positions.
Let’s go into the details, the LG V20 flaunts a 5.7-inch QHD IPS quantum display with a pixel density of 513ppi. In addition, there is also a secondary IPS display over the top of the main display, that allow quick access to notifications and alerts. Under the hood, LG V20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor that’s coupled with 4GB of RAM. By default, the mobile comes with 64GB inbuilt storage that can be further expanded up to 2TB using microSD card.
Coming to the photography and video recording side, LG V20 packs best-in-class hardware. We got wide-angle lens cameras on both front and back. On the back, we got a dual camera setup, one 16-megapixel standard camera with f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel camera with 135-degree wide-angle lens. On front for selfie lovers, we got a 5-megapixel camera with a 120-degree lens. With ‘Auto Shot’ function the front camera can automatically take the perfect selfie using face detection.
The camera module comes with Hybrid Auto Focus (HAF) which integrates Laser Detection AF, Phase Detection AF and Contrast AF for both videos and photos. For videos, the V20 can record Hi-Fi videos with the option to manually control the audio settings. It uses Low Cut Filter (LCF) to reduce background noise and Limiter (LMT) that sets recording distance. The V20 can capture audio in 24-bit / 48 kHz Linear Pulse Code Modulation (LPCM).
Another feature of the V20 camera is the ‘Steady Record 2.0’, that utilizes the Snapdragon 820 processor with electronic image stabilization (EIS) 3.0 to take less shaky images and videos.
As for connectivity, LG V20 packs advanced 4G X12 LTE networks that support up to 600 Mbps LTE category 12 with 3x carrier aggregation. We can be sure that V20 fully supports all Indian 4G bands along with support for VoLTE. Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 BLE, NFC and USB Type-C.
