We just got a glimpse of the future of mobiles! LG during the MWC 2016 has officially unveiled it’s 2016 flagship mobile – the LG G5 and it’s companion friends that add a slew of extensions and accessories with its modular design approach.

Talking about this year’s flagship device from LG, the G5 boast a metal aluminium uni-body design with a slide-out battery part and Modular Type design for adding in extensions. The mobile flaunts a 5.3-inch QuadHD IPS Quantum display with a 3D Arc curved glass surface and Always-on display for a quick glance on your notifications. The Daylight mode can instantaneously increase or decrease the brightness of the display, up to 850 nits offering exceptional outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, LG G5 got a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor that’s coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage that can be further expanded using microSD card. For heavy graphics duty works it packs Adreno 530 graphics.
Taking photography to a new level, G5 includes an extreme wide angle lens on the back with two camera modules – one with a standard 78-degree 16 megapixel lens and another with a 135-degree wide angle 8-megapixel lens, that’s 15 degrees wider than the human eye’s field of view. On the front for selfie enthusiasts, there is an 8-megapixel camera.
On the connectivity side, G5 packs everything from global 4G LTE network support, 3G, 2G, WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth. The smartphone also got fingerprint scanner on the back, USB Type-C port that supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. The mobile runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and will be available in silver, titan, gold, and pink colour options.

With G5, LG has brought Modular Type design where one can easily swipe in a digital camera, Hi-Fi player and more that gets connected through Bluetooth.
LG CAM Plus – the camera module offers more grip to hold the BIG phone and adds extra controls to a standalone camera. It comes with physical buttons for power, camera shutter, video recording, zoom and an LED indicator. It also brings additional battery capacity of 1,200mAh.
LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O PLAY – the Hi-Fi DAC audio player module that supports 32-bit 384KHz high-definition audio playback along with premium sound technology. This module can also be used as a separately with any smartphone or PC.
LG 360 VR – a cable connected Google Cardboard like VR goggle that simulates a 130-inch TV viewed from two meters away with its high resolution of 639 ppi.
LG 360 CAM – a small 360-degree angle camera modules that come with two 13MP 200-degree wide angle cameras along with 4GB internal memory and additional 1,200mAh battery. You can use it to capture immersive 360 degree 2K videos along with 5.1 surround channel recording with its three microphones. You can share videos created through it on Google Street View and YouTube360.
LG Rolling Bot – a ball that’s equipped with 8MP camera that can capture images and videos. Use of it? – well, it can be used as a home monitoring system or a remote controller for compatible home appliances.
LG Tone PlatinumTM – a Bluetooth headset that’s equipped with aptX HDcodec offering superior sound quality.
H3 by B&O PLAY – a wired earphone that’s compatible with LG Hi-Fi Plus and other android smartphones.
Smart Controller – that can control drones to check video streams in real time and to control one with the LG Smart Controller joystick.
If you are looking for the G5 price, then LG hasn’t announced the price and Indian availability.
