A mid-range smartphone packed with innovative hardware and latest android build, that’s what the successor to the LeEco Le 1s or the LeEco Le 1s (eco) android smartphone looks like.
After launching the flagship LeEco Le Max2, the LeEco has launched the mid-range android smartphone LeEco Le 2 in India. The mobile features Snapdragon 652 processor, USB Type-C audio port ditching the traditional 3.5mm audio jack, full HD display, and 4G with VoLTE support.
LeEco Le 2 is priced at Rs 11,999 and will go on sale starting from June 2016 on Flipkart and LeEco’s official LeMall store.
Coming back to the mobile specification, LeEco Le 2 got a ultra-light metal unibody build with rounded edges. The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD display with a pixel density of 403 pixels per square inch and comes with blue light filter technology for reducing eye strain.
The LeEco Le 2 is powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and comes with Adreno 510 graphics processing unit. The mobile comes with 32GB internal storage option, that got no expandable storage option.
On the photography side, the LeEco Le 2 carriers a 16-megapixel rear camera that comes with an aperture of f/2.0, PDAF and dual tone LED flash. Using the camera one can shoot 4K videos at 30fps and 720p slow motion videos at 120fps. On the front, the mobile got an 8-megapixel camera with 1.4-micron pixels and a large aperture of f/2.2.
On the connectivity side, the dual SIM LeEco Le 2 got full support for Indian 4G LTE networks along with VoLTE for HD voice and video calling. Other connectivity options include 3G, 2G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Type-C port. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EUI 5.6 skin on top. For added security LeEco Le 2 comes with fingerprint sensor placed below the rear camera.
LeEco Le 2 comes with the latest USB Type-C port that works as data transfer, charging and also as an audio output port, ditching the 3.5mm audio jack. The company has added CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology that enables the users to experience digital lossless audio.
The Type-C headphones come with built-in CDLA decoders along with unique identification label offering various intelligent settings for audio quality according to the user’s previously recorded preferences. The company has also packed a headphone adapter which you can use it with your existing headphones.

LeEco Le 2 comes bundled with Le Ecosystem, that brings curated contents like music, videos, live TV and more in partnership with content providers. Priced at Rs 490 per month or Rs 4,900 per year it provides users access to Le ViDi – video-on-demand service, Le Live – live Indian TV channel streaming service, Le Music – live music streaming service and LeEco Drive with 5TB cloud storage.
